The yearly IAGSDC convention, which we often refer to as our family reunion, is some of the best square dancing, to some of the best square dance callers in the world and an opportunity to meet tons of new people who share your passion for square dancing.

Attending convention for the first time is a life-changing experience for some people and we want to make sure everyone at the Ottawa Date Squares is able to have that experience regardless of your personal financial situation.

To this end, we have setup some special subsidies, funded by All Join Hands donations, to assist you in defraying the costs of attending the convention.

If your reason for not attending this year is financial then this subsidy is for you and you can apply easily using the form below. Your information will be held confidentially by club leaders and you’ll be notified 90 days before the start of convention how much money you will be receiving (minimum $150, maximum $500) to pay for your travel, registration, food and lodging at the host hotel.

The money, in the form of a cheque, will be given to you when you arrive at the convention.
